Is this signed document genuine?

Upload the PDF signed with MultiDocs and we'll tell you whether it's the original or whether it was changed after signing.

How it works

When a document is signed with MultiDocs (including with the free tool), we store the digital fingerprint (SHA-256) of the signed document: a code that changes completely if a single letter, signature or pixel is changed. When you upload the PDF, your browser works out its fingerprint and compares it with the one we stored, without sending us the document.

  • It matches: the document is exactly the one that was signed.
  • It doesn't match: it wasn't signed with MultiDocs, or it was changed or saved again after signing (for example, by printing it to PDF).

Fingerprints are kept for 5 years from signing. Find out more in the privacy policy.
